Software update for the Rotoclear C2

30. July 2021 We are constantly developing the software of the Rotoclear C2. Thus, each software update expands the functionality of the leading camera system for machine interiors. We are now pleased to release a new version for the camera system, which enables many new useful features for our customers:

With this function, users not only get a clear preview of all image and video recordings. They can also easily sort or delete these recordings by date.

Using Samba / Cifs 1.0, the new software update allows you to save all recordings within your own network and share the corresponding folders.

In addition, you can now also connect external USB hard drives directly to the control computer and save your recordings there. The update supports Fat32, NTFS and exFAT types.

The new update supports the alignment sensor for automatic image orientation. This is especially relevant for the mobile installation of the camera on the spindle in order to always get perfectly aligned shots even from this perspective.

The new software update includes several functions at once that increase the security of the camera system: Pin protection has been added to the user interface as well as the security-relevant settings. In addition, external streams can now be deactivated quickly and easily.

The new software version contains a new programming interface that can be used not only to query information from the system. One can also use it to control the camera system via this interface using a websocket connection.

In addition to the new features mentioned above, the update also includes the following enhancements:

• Extension of the setup wizard: Addition of explanations of the new functions
• Possibility for MAC address specific licensing of additional modules
• Latency or bandwidth optimized transmission modes
• NTP time synchronization, fast selection of time zone and corresponding configuration of own server possible
• Further bug fixes, optimizations and usability improvements
